  1. Oats (and grains in general) are an unnecessary, low nutrition food. Have them if you like them but they are no friend to those who are insulin resistant, pre diabetic or diabetic and/or trying to lose fat. They can be addictive and hard to get away from, but if you up your protein and fat it is easier.

  2. Ok. I am going to try this. No idea about whey protein so will add a high protein 0% fat yogurt. Also have no chia seeds so will substitute with psyllium husk. Walnuts i have and love. Milk i will add full fat and maybe a few tin apricots. And sesame seeds and cinnamon. 😊 Will use 1/4cup tiny portion of oats. 😊 thank you for a great demo.

  3. Wow. So interesting. My diabetic husband gets a spike just looking at oatmeal. 😅🤷🏽‍♀️
It's nice to know you can blunt the effects somewhat for those who tolerate it well. After overcoming carb cravings with much diligence I don't think either of us would be willing return to it despite the nostalgia.

  4. Oatmeal is not healthy at all. It is a great hoax. Full of inflammatory omega-6, sugar spikes. Just get rid of them, my Dear Diabetics! Same goes for nuts, except they have no sugar. Nuts and oatmeal is a health hoax. Switch to fatty fish and low omega-6 vegetables (root vegetables). Best diet for diabetics.
