  1. We don't have Swerve in our stores nor do I shop online. Our only option is Truvia Brown granulated sweetener and it does not dissolve in butter. The flavor of this recipe using that product turned out overly sweet and with that granulated consistency – overall unpleasant.

Why can't manufacturers expand ready-made Keto products? Our stores have very little to offer.

  2. Yeah…nah…I don’t do microwaves, but I think this would look nicer cooked in the oven to get a little brown on that crust! But apart from that, yum, can’t wait to try this. Made on the stove of course 😅😅😅

  3. Just made it… literally took like five mins. I made his maple syrup recipe just prior to this though since I didn’t have any.
I’m short pecans but have a ton of walnuts so throwing those in as a substitute. It’s a great simple recipe!

  4. Thank you for adding the microwave wattage. Hardly anyone does, and it makes such a difference. That is actually one of my biggest pet peeves with recipe videos. An 1100 watt takes twice as long as a 1500 to cook, so of course it stands to reason that a 1500 watt takes 1/2 the time to cook as an 1100. The other big one is not including the size of the baking dish / pan. :-/
Can't wait to try this little pie, along with several of your other recipes. TY !

  5. I'd love to see your recipes converted for use with Allulose. While Stevia is a natural extract, the bulk of Swerve is Erythritol, Allulose is better tolerated by those who have issues with sugar alcohols, plus Allulose behaves almost exactly like "regular sugar" in cooking & baking. It can be made into candy (etc) melts & even caramelizes like sugar…because, though far less prevalent than sucrose, Allulose is still a sugar. Also, the melting point of Allulose is less than that of Swerve…almost identical to white or brown sugar.

That's not the case with erythrotol. I don't know if an Allulose substitute for brown sugar is available yet, but a small amount of blackstrap molasses can be added, when appropriate, for flavor. Blackstrap is very strong flavored, and less sweet than regular molasses, so the amount of carbs coming from the addition of amounts, like vanilla extract would be added, will be negligible.

  6. Made this tonight and was going to toast the almond flour and forgot. Still DELICIOUS!! i did screw up and forget to microwave my filling so it was a little grainy but STILL delicious! 😆 hopefully I’ll remember to do both next time! Anyone have any other ideas for different pie fillings for one?

  7. I made this for dessert, and it was way too sweet. I even cut back the sugar at the recommendation from one of the comments. It set nicely, and looked like a mini pecan pie, but none of us could eat more than one bite.

  8. Made this last week. It was okay but way too sweet for my taste and I have a sweet tooth – or thought I did – you guys in the US are something else lol. I would suggest no sweetener in the crust – toasting the almonds like others have said and reducing the sweetener in the pie.

  9. Thank you for this awesome recipe. When I almost finished this pie, I just found out that this pie has two servings. OMG…I eat too much. I thought it's one serving. I need to go to the gym today.

  10. That swerve maybe 0 carbs but you are sure using a lot of it in the pie……is that stuff even good for you?
But it looks delicious and since I'm off sugar it maybe time to try something using swerve……
